There’s something about abandoned places that draws me to them. Places that were once filled with people and heartbeats, I can only imagine the life that has possessed these empty lands and buildings before the emptiness set in. It feels like I’m documenting a small slice of this country’s history when I place a couple in these pictures, a combination of old and new, in a place that had seen better days but you could still feel its soul.
I’m always so appreciative for couples who are willing to place their trust in me and go on an exploration journey. It’s a little venture into the unknown, and you don’t really know what you are getting into, but it pays off always.
