Dana and Leoel are from Taiwan but met at a Halloween party in Singapore and eventually decided to get married in this place we call home. I’ve always wondered how our country look through the eyes of someone who isn’t born here. As I listened to how Dana spoke about the people who made her feel at home when she first arrived and the hospitality she received, I realised that there was still a lot more to us that we have simply overlooked.
They held a beautifully intimate wedding at Nosh, surrounded by close friends and family who came together to celebrate their love for each other, and it was one of the best weddings I’ve photographed. As they excitedly explained the yum seng to all their guests and went on to give the loudest, most heartfelt toast I’ve experienced in a long time, there was nothing more Singaporean than this wedding.
Thank you once again, and also to the Wedding Scoop who has kindly featured their wedding here.
