I don’t have the best memory, and often I forget names and sometimes even faces. Feelings are the way I remember things, and I could somehow always remember how I feel at weddings.
So here’s what I remember. I remember a warm summer afternoon, bridesmaid’s dresses in black and gold and the excited chatter in the morning. I remember the hush when Linzy walked into the art gallery where she and Matt exchanged their vows, the golden hues of the evening sun set against the trees, the way that light lit up the wine glasses and the tears and laughter during the speeches. And I remember the hugs and kisses, oh.. there were so many of them that day.
I always end my words with thanks because truly, what is there not to be thankful for.
